An API with a credit model. Every plan includes a monthly balance and calls draw it down at the same rates regardless of tier, with only unique content billed.
Free is zero dollars with five dollars of credits a month, the full search and memory API, and one team seat with unlimited end users. Pro is nineteen dollars a month with twenty dollars of credits and all the plugins, which includes Claude Code, Cursor and Hermes. Max is a hundred a month with a hundred and thirty in credits and a Gmail connector. Scale is three hundred and ninety nine a month with six hundred in credits, S3 and web crawler connectors, unlimited seats, SOC 2, a HIPAA BAA and a self hosted option. Enterprise is custom.
They publish operational numbers as well: over a hundred billion tokens a month and p95 recall under three hundred milliseconds.
Read that list and the audience is obvious. Team seats, connectors, compliance paperwork and a rate card are not features for someone who just wants Claude to remember last Tuesday.
If you are building something
Then the alternatives worth your time are the other memory APIs, and the comparison is about recall quality, latency, cost per unique item and whether you can self host.
Mem0, Zep, Letta, Cognee and Hindsight are the names that come up, and you will find real benchmark writeups comparing them. We are not one of those and we are not going to insert ourselves into that list, because a browser extension is not an API and pretending otherwise would waste your afternoon.
That is the whole of our advice for the first group. It is short because it is not our category.
If you are just using AI assistants
This is the group that arrives at Supermemory, reads the pricing page, and quietly backs out.
Your problem is not recall latency. It is that you explained your project to Claude in detail, then opened ChatGPT a week later and had to explain it again. Or that the conversation where you worked out why an approach would not work is somewhere in a sidebar with four hundred others.

Where Supermemory wins
If you are building, it wins on everything that matters for building, and this section is not a formality.
It is a real API with published latency numbers, which is more than most of this category offers. It has connectors for Gmail, S3 and web crawling, which cover sources a browser extension cannot reach. It carries SOC 2 and will sign a HIPAA BAA, which decides the question outright in regulated work. And it can be self hosted on the top plan, which matters if your data cannot leave your own infrastructure.
None of those four have an equivalent on our side, because none of them are problems a Chrome extension has.
Where Unibase Memory wins
Four things, and they only matter if you are in the second group.
Nothing to integrate. You install it and it is already capturing. There is no key to provision, no call to write, and no decision about what to store, which matters because the conversation that turns out to be important three weeks later is never the one you would have flagged at the time.
