Figure 3.8 Dial-up Networking - Phone number
Enter the phone number to be used for this service.
In order to select the correct server type, click Server Type.
Figure 3.9 Server Types Selection
Click the Log on to Network box. You DO NOT want a mark in this box as you DO NOT want your system
attempting to connect to the Microsoft Network.
UNIBASE only supports SLIP on all rotaries with the exception of the 789-0709 rotary which supports both SLIP and PPP. Since this service is to 789-6563, we must select SLIP: Unix Connection
The NetBui and IPX/SPX boxes SHOULD NOT be marked as you do not need these protocols.
You will want to have marked the TCP/IP box as that is the protocol of the Internet. Once you have checked and marked
that box, you should complete the setup by clicking the TCP/IP Setup button.
Figure 3.10 TCP/IP Settings
Here you will need to set the Name Server addresses. UNIBASE provides two nameservers, and you should list them as shown here.
The nameserver addresses are 204.50.10.2 (primary) and 204.50.10.1 (secondary). Name servers are needed to convert the names of
a site, such as www.unibase.com to the appropriate Internet numberical address.
